A New Way of Life

Sedgwick Elementary School, grade 3, 2013/20014

Like Deer Island, life changed for mainland

Sedgwick residents when the big green bridge was built in 1938. Students heard about the "last ferryman", whose family shielded him from news about the new bridge, the mystery girl who bicycled over the bridge with a duck and dog following her, and the dancing bridge.
