Tales of Old Westbrook

Oxford Cumberland Canal Street Elementary School, grade 3, 2019

A 232 year old mystery! When town namesake Colonel Westbrook died, his family buried the body in a secret location, only recently discovered. Students took a trip to the Westbrook Historical Archives where they saw many artifacts, including the old Sacarappa fire truck and desks and inkwells from one of Westbrook's many schoolhouses.

Mural materials: acrylic paint and permanent marker on birch ply panels
