The Process
 
Initial research for the project involves interviews of town elders and field trips. Students keep project journals that combine drawing and notes; the performance and mural evolve from these journals during an artist residency. Mural and performance are 
presented to the community in a public celebration, and the mural is then installed in a permanent location.
