The Story of Limington

H.B. Emery Jr.  School, Limington, grade 3, 2008/2009

H.B. Emery was a local boy from Limington who went off to war during WWII, was injured in battle and died. He was buried in a local cemetery. Students in this close-knit community spoke to elder neighbors who knew him, and told stories of the games they played together and swimming in the Saco River. Fourth graders alos visited a local apple orchard and learned about the apple business.
